Construction notes:

Never have I thought that one day I'd make some sort of mascot costume. It's so foreign to me!

It was definately a learning experience! Honestly, I don't even know if I went about it the "right" way. Something tells me hula hoops aren't meant to be mascot bases! :D

The costume is made out of upholstry foam and fleece.

The head is shaped are a helmet with 2 hula hoops attached. The fleece was draped, pinned, removed, sewn, put back on. The ears were handsewn onto the head as well as the eyes and mouth (which are sheer fabrics so that I can "see.") Basically the rest of the body follows the same idea as the head.

The feet felt like huge slippers. For the first time, my feet were comfy! I used a tutorial, so to speak from" How It's Made: Mascot." Youtube has a video of it.

The legs are actually my jeans with fleece basted on so that I can remove it later.

The cheeks are floral spray. The tail is stuff fleece, hand sewn onto the butt. Fitting through doorways is fun.

Note to self: Think before doing a "big" costume at a cramped con. Totally didn't think there. Doh!
